About Me
In my experience, excellence in communication is about more than providing information; it’s about building a relationship with your audience.
I have spent the past several years helping organizations strengthen relationships with employees, families, community members, voters, and stakeholders. Whether it’s a complete website redesign, developing a communications strategy, managing crisis communications, planning outreach campaigns, or producing digital content, my goal remains the same: to make information accessible, meaningful, and human.
I started my career as a newspaper journalist, telling stories and sharing knowledge I felt my local communities needed to hear and know. I wanted to use my stories to empower the public to take action and to keep transparency in our public institutions. Covering everything from city council meetings, community events, breaking news, and more taught me how to find clarity in complex situations under pressure. I also honed my interpersonal skills, which allow me to connect with people from all walks of life.
I bring over a decade of combined experience in journalism, public relations, and communications, along with a Master’s in Communication Leadership from the University of Washington. My favorite part of this work is that every day is different and presents a new challenge. I love collaborating with teams, finding creative solutions to difficult problems, and telling authentic stories that serve a greater purpose.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two sons, my giant dog, my 10 chickens, and our cat. Whether it’s gardening in the backyard, reading mystery thriller novels, or knitting a new sweater, I like to find time to relax and decompress from the hustle of public relations.
